The 52-year-old Australian is wanted in the United States on 18 charges, including conspiracy to hack into a U.S. government computer and violating the Espionage Act.
Assange has been held in London's Belmarsh prison since 2019, when he was arrested for skipping bail in a separate case.
In January, a judge ruled that Assange could be extradited to the U.S., but he immediately appealed the decision.
Assange's supporters have argued that he is a journalist who is being persecuted for publishing classified information.
The U.S. government has said that Assange is a criminal who helped Russia interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
