Ending his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves

Beverley signs veteran deal for upcoming season

Patrick Beverley has signed a 1-year, $3,196,448 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal includes $3,196,448 guaranteed and an average annual salary of $3,196,448.

Beverley, a 12-year NBA veteran, is known for his defensive intensity and leadership. He has played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves during his career.

Beverley's signing with the 76ers comes after he was traded to the Utah Jazz in February as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Los Angeles Lakers. He was subsequently waived by the Jazz.

The 76ers are hoping that Beverley can provide them with a boost on the defensive end. They finished 23rd in the NBA in defensive rating last season.

Beverley is expected to compete for a starting spot in the 76ers' backcourt alongside Tyrese Maxey. He will also provide depth behind James Harden and Joel Embiid.
