Kim Jong-Un, the enigmatic leader of North Korea, has been in power for a decade. Born in 1982, 1983, or 1984 (the exact date is unknown), Kim became the third generation of his family to lead the secluded nation.
Little is known about Kim's early life. He received his education in Switzerland and is said to be a fan of basketball and Western music. Kim rose to power in 2011, following the death of his father, Kim Jong-Il.
Kim Jong-Un has overseen a period of significant change and development in North Korea. He has implemented economic reforms and made overtures to the international community. However, he has also been criticized for his repressive rule and human rights abuses.
