Marc Fogel Detained After Cannabis Charge
In 2021, Marc Fogel and his wife Jane were teaching at the Anglo-American School in Moscow. During the summer, Marc informed his wife of his detention.
Fogel, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been held captive in a Russian prison since his arrest. The charges stem from a small amount of medical marijuana found in his luggage upon his return from the United States.
Despite repeated pleas from his family and the U.S. government, Fogel remains imprisoned in Russia. A recent prisoner swap between Russia, the U.S., and other nations did not include his release.
